Boise, Idaho – The Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation (IWCF) recently awarded One Stone a grant to do a multi-phase experiential service project in partnership with the Idaho Youth Ranch. The grant will expand the reach of One Stone’s leadership and mentoring programs to include more students, of different ages, across Southwest Idaho. The grant also supports outreach to students at-risk.

Open Book Adventures (OBA) is a 6-week tutoring and mentoring project for kindergarten through third grade children that inspires curiosity, and cultivates imagination through adventures in literacy.

One Stone said “goodbye for now” to 24 seniors in July 2014—soldiers for good who marched off to make the world a better place at colleges across the country. These outstanding alumni received their own special word in their send off. The collection of these words together would make a word cloud that would tell you everything you needed to know about One Stone.

#BreakerBOI provides young leaders with entrepreneurial skills to transform ideas for emerging industry. Project Breaker is a real world, problem-solving event. It will set up shop in the City of Trees June 18 to inspire the entrepreneurial process and foster design thinking in high schoolers.

One Stone launched Two Birds at the Bank of the Cascades’ nonprofit education event earlier this week. Two Birds, a One Stone social venture, is a creative services agency run by high school students in the Treasure Valley.

One Stone, a student-led and directed Boise-based nonprofit, is teaming up with the Idaho Youth Ranch for Break Through 2014, an alternative spring break project for southwest Idaho high school students. This year’s project, March 28 – 29, will be staged at the Idaho Youth Ranch’s namesake Ranch Campus outside of Rupert.
