More than 350 community-minded people gathered at One Stone’s annual fundraising event, ONE, on Saturday, January 31 for an evening of disruption.
The event, now in its fourth year, showcased the power of student voice to disrupt for good: the opportunity to make a positive change in the status quo (for good) and for lasting impact, for good.
One Stone team members presented a program that highlighted the three areas students can disrupt for good: Project Good, the experiential service component of One Stone, Two Birds, our student led creative services agency and social venture, and Solution Lab, an open invitation to the community to collaborate with students to launch revolutionary business and products and solve complex community issues.
The evening culminated with the unveiling of the One Stone manifesto:
We are the do-gooders, the thinkers, the creatives. For us, the glass is always half-full. We have a voice. And through commitment, empathy and grit, we change things. And while some may find us crazy, they can’t deny our impact. Because only the ones like us who dream big enough are the ones who disrupt for good.
