Grounding Into a New School Year: Fall Trip at Sawtooth Lodge
It has been a long standing tradition that our staff and students all take a trip as a One Stone Community to spend some time amongst nature and the elements. This step away allows us to explore, adventure, make memories, and new connections. For our 2026 Fall Trip, we had the honor of spending the night at Sawtooth Lodge in Grandjean, Idaho!
Fall Trip is also about getting rooted into the new year ahead. We all share meals, set up camp, explore the surrounding nature, chill by the fire, and sleep under the stars. It gives us an opportunity to strengthen our sense of belonging and create a shared experience that becomes the fabric of our community.
This year, students all took turns sharing their intentions for the year ahead to the rest of the student body, coaches, and staff. Together this gave each of them an opportunity to be vulnerable, but grounded in something that they wanted to bring to One Stone and what they wanted to help create. One theme that almost every student said was that they wanted to build an inclusive, unified community. A place where everyone felt welcomed, supported, and empowered to be exactly who they are.
It was a very meaningful experience and we are so excited to watch each one of them make this intention a reality.
