Mat Erpelding is a knowledgeable leader, experienced lobbyist, and former Idaho State Representative with deep expertise in state and local government, public policy, and education. Serving in the Idaho House from 2012 to 2019, including as House Minority Leader, he built a reputation for collaborative, bipartisan leadership focused on advancing economic development, education, and community growth.
Today, Mat serves as Director of Government Affairs, Global Policy & Business Partnerships at Micron Technology, where he leads strategic advocacy efforts and provides policy expertise on tax, incentives, and regulatory processes, helping align public policy with business objectives. His work focuses heavily on semiconductors, technology, and complex regulatory environments.
In addition to his current role, Mat has experience in the private and nonprofit sectors, including working withOne Stone Ventures for a year, where he contributed to innovative, education-focused initiatives.
He also owns and operates his own outfitting company, reflecting his entrepreneurial spirit and lifelong connection to the outdoors.
A retired high-altitude mountain guide and educator, Mat brings a passion for experiential learning and leadership development to all facets of his career, blending real-world experience with policy expertise to drive impactful results.
