Emily Watkins

Lab51 Humanities Coach

Emily was born and raised on the Stanford University campus and credits her desire to continue learning about, exploring, and questioning our world to her upbringing. She attended Occidental College and majored in sociology with a minor in religious studies and education. Emily was on the swim team and led Relay for Life. She was also a member of a local sorority and an Occidental admissions tour guide. She then went on to University of California, Santa Cruz to receive her masters in education. Since then, she has taught in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Waterloo, Ontario (Canada!). She has volunteered for much of her life and looks forward to finding ways to contribute to the Boise and Idaho community. She also grew up visiting family in the Treasure Valley and is looking forward to being close to the people she loves. She is so excited to learn alongside the coaches and students at Lab51.
