Empow[HER] Summit 2020

Empow[HER] Summer Summit 2020
Wednesday, August 5th, 2020 | 10am-3pm (check-in 9:30-10am)
FREE for incoming 7th-12th grade girls (Merch & food included!)

7th-12th grade girls are invited to join One Stone’s female empowerment team in an inclusive, outdoor adventure along Boise’s “Ribbon of Jewels.” Traveling between local parks named after remarkable women in Boise’s history, participants will explore what it means to create a legacy, dream big, overcome challenges, gain confidence, and advocate for fellow females along the way!

We love the idea of a big group of females intentionally taking up space- both a visual, physical representation of females coming together to support each other, but also a reminder that ALL girls have the power to own their voices, pursue their passions (big and small), and ignite change.

Participants will travel in socially-distanced groups along the Boise Greenbelt to each park along our route (TBA). Participants will bike (or choose another mode of transportation they are comfortable with) to each stop accompanied by Empow[HER] planning team members and One Stone staff.

Any young person that identifies as female is welcome!

HEALTH & SAFETY: One Stone has been monitoring the rise of COVID-19 cases in the surrounding area closely, and caring for the health and safety of our program participants, One Stone staff members, their families, and our surrounding community remains our top priority. The One Stone team is committed to providing a safe and healthy summit experience that follows current guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control, Central District Health, and the offices of Governor Little and Mayor McLean (including but not limited to: social distancing, wearing face coverings/masks, sanitization of materials between uses, washing hands before eating). Specific protocols for this event will be shared closer to the event date.

Huge thanks to all our partners this year! Empow[HER] is a free program sponsored by One Stone and State Farm & supported by Boise GreenBike and Roots Zero Waste Market. FREE merch, drinks, snacks, and lunch will be provided to participants (dietary restrictions will be accommodated).

REGISTRATION IS NOW FULL. If you have any questions or would like to be added to the waitlist, please contact project coordinators, Mariel Zupsic or Megan Kittridge, at projectgood@onestone.org | 208-451-3825. Thank you!
