The Empow[HER] Summit is a FREE full-day, fully inclusive, female empowerment event open to rising 9th-12th grade girls. This year’s theme: BUSTING TABOOS! From redefining what it means to be “ladylike” to getting more comfortable talking about your health “down there,” we’re breaking down traditionally uncomfortable topics through exposure, hands-on activities, comedy, and more so that all girls feel empowered to be their authentic selves.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

• Opening comedy set from local female comedian Reese Samuels

• Art project featuring discussion with local entertainer Minerva Jayne

• Self-defense workshop with Streetwise Self Defense

• Body awareness/mindfulness workshop

• Dissecting period products and female health

• Watch Academy Award winning documentary short film: “Period. End of Sentence.”

• Free food (breakfast for lunch!), yummy snacks, and swag
