Please join us for Independent Design Lab Disruption Day, the culmination of a year-long independent design thinking project, when students deliver their final presentation.
The Year 3 Independent Design Lab is a year-long experience that requires students to have a strong, working understanding of the design thinking process as well as professional skills in the area of communication and time management. The experience requires the grit necessary to successfully see a long-term project through to its end. During the fall term, students worked in the initial stages of the design thinking process, focusing on identifying and defining a human-centered problem or need and conducting primary and secondary research in order to better understand the complexities that surround that problem. In the spring, students have worked to ideate, prototype, test and implement their solutions.
This much anticipated Day of Disruption will take place at Boise's Grove Hotel (245 S Capitol Blvd), on the third floor in the Whitewater, Riverfork, and Rapids Meeting Rooms. We will kick things off at 10:00 am sharp and presentations will take place throughout the day.
