Slingshot Summer Internship 2020

Slingshot is a content creation, product development, and entrepreneurship internship opportunity at One Stone. Interns are responsible for producing video, graphic, and audio content for Two Birds clients. Representing two states, eight high schools, and three colleges, our interns bring a wide variety of skills, interests, and passions to the team.

Bennett Huhn is a One Stone graduate and student at the College of Idaho. He is passionate about music, theater, marketing, and business. He has skills in writing, public speaking, video editing, and graphic design. His most impactful experiences include being a student speaker at SXSW EDU, acting in a feature film, and independently recording and releasing an EP of original music.

Gabriela Pedreros attends William T. McFatter Technical High School. She lives in Florida, and is a Peruvian immigrant who came to the United States 4 years ago. Gabriela is a graphic design student and she has experience with Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop. She loves to design logos and T-shirts as well as many other things. Gabriela loves Japan and its culture. She dreams to live in Japan when she is older and has established her own business.

Armaan Sodhi is currently a high school student at Eagle High School going into his senior year. He has been a writer for 3 years at various sports websites and has also been an editor for FantasyFootballRapper on youtube for the past 3 months. He is a big sports fan and currently plays soccer(for Idaho Rush and Eagle High School) and basketball. If he could have super power, it would be the ability to read people's minds as it would help him better understand them as a person.

Ishita Juluru is a student at Timberline High School in Boise. She has a lot of experience with programming/design and can adapt to new software quickly. One of Ishita's hobbies is playing tennis; she has been playing for 5 years! 

Mackenzie Horton is a student at Bishop Kelly High School. She loves learning about content creation, video production, and entrepreneurship. Some day she wants to start a business of her own. Mackenzie also loves playing sports, baking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Sydian Mikesell is a YLab student at One Stone’s Lab School with an immense passion for urban planning. In addition to being an urban planner, he hopes to one day travel the world. Sydian has organized a major event, and has some experience with designing logos. In the summer of 2019 he attended MITES at MIT, and has since continued to pursue his love for urban planning. Sydian enjoys photography, acting, sports, and nature (among other things), and firmly believes that everyone should enjoy learning for the sake of learning at one point in their life.

Nichole Thorne graduated from Columbia High School in May 2020. She has taken 3 years of video broadcasting classes throughout her school experience. Nichole works as a studio tech at KIVI TV and has aspirations to advance in her career. She loves to have fun and seems quiet at first but quickly becomes very social as she gets more comfortable.

Grant Chapman is a video editor and animator who attends Centennial High School. He loves space and will someday be an aerospace engineer. His favorite movie is Interstellar and probably knows more about a rocket than his own car. He hopes that one day Comic Sans will be wiped off the face of the Earth.

Kylie Casper just graduated from One Stone Lab School this spring and will be attending Whitman College in the fall. She was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and loves to give back and contribute to the community that raised her to become who she is today. Kylie is passionate about helping others, the future of education, student voice, mental health, and having fun. If Kylie could have any animal as a pet, it would be a koala bear, and her favorite colors are pink and yellow.

Lili Serio is a designer with an interest in photography. As an alumnus of One Stone High School, Lili now studies business and marketing at Emerson College, in Boston, MA. During her time at One Stone, Lili was the Manager of Two Birds, and helped develop Clutch, an app to prevent distracted driving, which helped her find a passion for UX and UI design. Her fun fact is that she once lived on a boat for four months.

Veronica Richmond is a 14-year-old graphic designer, poet, and photographer. She is a captain on the Boise High Debate Team, currently serves as the Managing Director of Two Birds, and plays Quizbowl. She is the tall, nerdy girl holding boba tea that you saw walking down State Street.
