Two Birds
A Creative Studio and Student-Led Business
Two Birds is a revenue-generating business that provides real-world experience for students interested in learning about business, project management, technology, marketing, and design. Students gain valuable technical skills and real-world expertise by operating an innovative business that provides design thinking and marketing services to professional clientele on a local, regional, and national level. They learn to take risks, be vulnerable with their ideas, and approach challenges with creativity. All revenue generated by Two Birds helps One Stone offer its Studios + Labs at no cost.
Slingshot is a professional, creative internship opportunity for current high school students (rising 9-12th grade), as well as 2022 high school graduates. Past clients include Albertsons, Astrochicken, Idaho Out-of-School Network, Idea51, Micron Technology, Saalt, Treefort Music Fest, University of Idaho, and One Stone.

Our clients value the real-world experience that is being provided to the student team, and trust that students can do amazing things when empowered to do so. They are empathic and understanding that our team is made up of unpaid, part—time students between the ages of 14-18

Yes, we really do! While our students lead and do the work, adult coaches provide inspiration, expertise, and guidance as well as training and quality control. We have students of all experience levels working on each project. More experienced students help ones who are still learning.
All high school students are encouraged to apply. No experience necessary. After completing the application, students will be interviewed in an effort to gauge their areas of expertise, curiosities, interests, and/or passions. From there, new Two Birders may jump into a current project, propose their own project, or develop their skills and confidence by attending Flight School.
