The average age for a successful entrepreneur is 42, yet many high school students have great ideas. Many of these students do not have the resources or experience to create a startup that produces revenue.
With these things in mind, the Young Entrepreneurs Design Lab group asked “How might we create an entrepreneurial mindset among high school students that translates into financial success?” The Design Lab team got to work empathizing with young entrepreneurs to discover what would be something that is effective and engaging when creating a business.
This led to the creation of “Crunch Time,” a jump-starter to create a Business Model Canvas out of an idea in just 14 days. Aimed at high school students, this book will allow the user to develop their idea into a revenue generating business. Through useful activities and information in the book, high school students will have the tools to create their own startup. The team looks forward to getting this book in the hands of high school students across Idaho.
