Sandra completed her bachelor’s degree in linguistics with a minor in German at Boise State University. Throughout college, she demonstrated a dedication to public service, and volunteered teaching English at the English Language Center with elder refugees, in the Borah High School Bridge program with teenage immigrants and refugees, at a College of Western Idaho Adult English program, and even in Germany teaching German to newly arrived refugees at the peak of the refugee crisis. She spent her junior year studying abroad in northern Germany, and returned to Europe immediately after graduating to work as an English teacher in four Austrian high schools. She is passionate about connecting to other people through language and cultural exchange and is excited to bring those philosophies into her work at One Stone. When she’s not coaching, Sandra can be found hiking the nearest mountain, pulling over to take photos of anything and everything, or cooking up something delicious to share with friends.
